Driving Jobs

Sharing is caring!

One side hustle that has been growing quickly over the past 10 years is driving jobs. There are many companies that use contractors to deliver. Those deliveries can consist of groceries, food, people, and more.

With just a few easy requirements, no experience, and lots of flexibility, driving jobs are hotter now than ever.

Most driving jobs allow you to earn anytime, anywhere on your own schedule.

The information I listed below is basic information I gathered from each companies website. All companies will require you to have a driver’s license, pass a background check, and have a smartphone but some requirements vary from company to company, such as your vehicle’s type or age.

While most drivers have their own vehicles, some companies have rental options if you don’t have a vehicle of your own or if your vehicle doesn’t meet their requirements.

While most of these driving jobs are 1099 independent contractor positions you will want to verify that with the company when signing up. With 1099 independent contractor positions you are able to lower your taxes with deductions. You will want to consult with a tax accountant to maximize your savings and to make sure you are keeping track of things correctly.

The pay rate varies from company to company and from ride to ride. The rates I have seen vary from $10/hr to $30/hr which is a huge gap but most drivers quoting from $12/hr to $20/hr.

Whether you are looking for a new job, a side hustle along with your job, or a bridge between jobs, a driving job is a great way to make some extra money.

Companies change their rules all the time, so the information I share below was current at the time I wrote this post. Please do your own research and verify the information with the company themself before applying.
